BACKGROUNDS
A very important part of your image is your background. Look behind your subject and avoid confusing and complicated backgrounds. poles, trees, etc coming out of peoples heads just don’t look good it takes away from the image. A plain background or a related background will emphasize your subject a lot better than a mixed up cluttered one. I try to use out of focus backgrounds as much as possible. Try it you will like it!

About this project
For over 30 years I have been photographing people for personal custom portraits from the demure to the erotic. This book is a combination of many years of developing a different technique to photograph my clients. Having been born in the magic city of Miami Beach, Florida I wanted to incorporate our light, water and sensuality in my images. I wanted to create images that would incorporate all of those elements in a coffee table book and exhibition. Also as an inspiration to those who want to create personal work of art of themselves that will last a lifetime, or to attend one of my workshops so they can learn from my techniques and developed a style of their own.
“DirtyGirls” Portraits in Water is a photographic coffee table book of beautiful portraits of water & light, on the human form. Photographed in the ocean of Miami Beach, Florida. These images are purely for your eye enjoyment, they have no hiding meaning, only the tranquility of the water, light and body. The images are photographed at sunrise and sunset using the sun as my light, the water as my stage and my bodies as my inspiration.
